He achieved this feat during his match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at MCA Stadium in Pune. During the match, he played a solid 49* unbeaten run in 28 balls, including 3 fours and 4 sixes. Russell has had a solid IPL season so far, scoring 330 runs in 11 innings at an average of 41.25. His individual best score is 70*.
He has scored half a century in the tournament so far.
Coming into the game, a 63-run tie between Sam Billings (34) and Andre Russell propelled Kolkata Knight Riders to a solid 177/6 in their 20 overs here at MCA Stadium in Pune on Saturday.
It was a solid day for KKR with the bat as everyone made helpful contributions that took the side to a solid score. Umran Malik was the bowlers’ choice for SRH and again impressed with three scalps in his cat.
Russell then also played with the ball and took three wickets as SRH was limited to 123/8 as KKR recorded a crucial 54 point win.
